Trenchless Sewer & Drain Services in Columbus, Ohio

Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless is a trenchless sewer and drain contractor serving Columbus, Ohio and the Central Ohio metro area. Every service on this list is delivered by our own crews from our Carroll, OH facility — CIPP pipe lining, pipe bursting, hydro jetting, sewer camera inspection, and full sewer line repair. We do not sub-contract trenchless work. We do not install new construction plumbing, water heaters, fixtures, or drain fittings. We repair, rehabilitate, and replace sewer and water lines — that is the entire business.

Trenchless Sewer Repair

Trenchless Sewer Repair — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

Our parent trenchless service hub. Trenchless sewer repair covers every no-dig repair method Wooley delivers — CIPP pipe lining for aged-but-intact pipe, pipe bursting for collapsed or Orangeburg lateral replacement, and spot repair for localised defects. This is the right starting page when you know the pipe is failing but you are not yet sure which method applies.

Common triggers include basement sewage backups, recurring snake-and-jet cycles that never stay clear, sinkholes over the lateral run, and failed pre-sale sewer scopes in Bexley, Upper Arlington, and Worthington real-estate transactions. Because Wooley runs both lining and bursting equipment in-house, the recommendation on your job is driven by the pipe’s condition — not by the only method a single-method contractor happens to own.

CIPP Pipe Lining

CIPP Pipe Lining — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

CIPP stands for cured-in-place pipe. It is the highest-precision trenchless rehabilitation method we offer: a flexible felt or fibreglass liner impregnated with thermoset epoxy or styrene resin is inverted through the existing pipe, inflated against the host pipe wall, and cured — ambient, steam, or UV — to form a new jointless pipe-within-a-pipe. The result is NSF-61 compliant, ASTM F1216 governed, and manufacturer-rated for a 50-year design life.

CIPP is the ideal method for aged-but-intact clay tile and cast iron laterals — exactly the housing stock that dominates Bexley, Uptown Westerville, and older Columbus neighborhoods. If your sewer scope shows root intrusion through joints, minor longitudinal cracks, or interior corrosion pitting, CIPP is almost always the right call.

Pipe Bursting

Pipe Bursting — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

Pipe bursting is the trenchless replacement method. A hydraulic or pneumatic bursting head is pulled through the failed pipe by cable winch, fracturing the old pipe outward into the surrounding soil while pulling a new HDPE pipe into position behind it. Governed by ASTM F1962, bursting is the required method for Orangeburg, fully collapsed clay, or any lateral needing upsizing — situations where lining is not an option.

Residential bursting typically completes in a single day with two small access pits (one at the cleanout, one at the building side) — no open trench along the pipe run. Wooley fuses the HDPE pipe on-site with an in-house fusion welder rather than sub-contracting, which controls fusion quality and keeps the job on schedule.

Hydro Jetting & Drain Cleaning

Hydro Jetting & Drain Cleaning — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

Hydro jetting uses a high-pressure water jet — 4,000+ PSI at 18+ gallons per minute — through a specialised nozzle to scour the pipe interior, removing roots, grease, scale, and debris. Jetting is the gold-standard pipe-cleaning method because it cleans the full pipe circumference, whereas a snake only clears a narrow channel. It is the right tool for restaurant grease blockages, tree-root intrusion that has not yet fractured the pipe wall, and mineral scale on cast iron.

Wooley offers scheduled maintenance contracts for restaurants, apartment complexes, and commercial property managers — with calendar reminders so compliance doesn’t fall through the cracks. Pre- and post-service camera verification is included on every job.

Sewer Camera Inspection

Sewer Camera Inspection — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

A sewer camera inspection is a waterproof push camera or crawler camera transmitted live to a monitor and recorded, producing a time-stamped video file of the pipe interior with footage distance markers and locate-ping capability. Wooley uses RIDGID SeeSnake push cameras for residential laterals and Envirosight crawler cameras for larger commercial and municipal lines. Every inspection is delivered to the customer as a permanent video record.

Typical use cases: pre-purchase home inspection due diligence, pre-sale seller disclosure preparation, post-backup incident diagnosis, insurance claim documentation, and recurring-blockage triage. In Bexley and parts of Columbus, a documented scope is expected as part of pre-sale inspection. At /services/sewer-camera-inspection/ you can review our scope-and-locate process in detail.

Sewer Line Repair

Sewer Line Repair — Wooley Water Sewer Trenchless

Sewer line repair is our umbrella service hub. It exists because many customers search ‘sewer line repair’ without yet knowing which method they need — spot repair, CIPP lining, pipe bursting, or (strictly when no trenchless method applies) traditional open-cut replacement. Wooley offers both trenchless and open-cut options and triages every job with a camera scope first, so the recommended method is the one that fits the pipe — not the only method we happen to carry.

If you do not yet know whether you need lining, bursting, or spot repair, start here. We will scope the line, diagnose the failure mode, and give you a written estimate for the lowest-cost method that delivers a durable outcome.

Wooley services every Tier 1 market inside a 25-mile radius of the Carroll facility — including Westerville, Bexley, and Gahanna — plus Tier 2 communities across Franklin, Delaware, Fairfield, Pickaway, and Licking counties (Pickerington, Reynoldsburg, Lancaster, Pataskala, Grove City, Dublin, Worthington, and Upper Arlington). Full service areas map and city-by-city coverage is at /service-areas/.
